Difficulty (starting level)
Starts at level 1. A 3 × 3 grid with very distinct emoji — easy to find.
Tap the odd-one-out emoji before the timer runs out to advance to the next level. A wrong tap costs −2 seconds. Game over when the timer hits zero.
Hagure Hunt is an observation game where you spot and tap the single odd-one-out emoji in a grid packed with near-identical emoji, all against a time limit. Hunting for one target among many is what psychologists call "visual search," and Hagure Hunt trains exactly that ability — noticing a small difference in a mass of information and moving your attention quickly from spot to spot. The higher your level climbs, the larger the board grows, from 3x3 up to 6x6, while the emoji also grow more similar to each other (similarity tiers 1–4). Early on the color or shape differs enough to catch at a glance, but at higher tiers it comes down to a slight difference in orientation or expression, demanding the patient focus to compare cell by cell. A wrong tap costs you 2 seconds, so calmly confirming before you press beats mashing at random. The trick to finding it fast is not to stare at the whole board, but to fix a scan path — top row to bottom, left to right — so nothing is skipped; once you're used to it, switching your focus from color to shape to orientation makes differences pop out. Because it's endless mode, you can push to see how far you get, and only your highest level reached is kept as a record on your device. Each round is short, making it a brain-training break that fits neatly between study or work.

Training observation and focus
It trains you to spot tiny differences fast, building attention and visual concentration.
Spot-the-difference with kids
On easy levels it plays like a spot-the-difference puzzle that children enjoy, nurturing observation skills through play.
Waiting in line or on a train
You only tap with one hand, so it is easy to play even while standing and waiting.
A warm-up before study or work
Use a short session to wake up your brain and shift into focus mode.
Chasing a high score
Your best level is saved, so you can keep coming back to beat your personal record.
Hagure Hunt runs entirely in your browser. It sends no game data anywhere and makes no external network requests at all. The only thing recorded is your highest level reached, and even that is stored solely in your device's localStorage.
