What is Image Puzzle?

Image Puzzle turns a photo you choose into a jigsaw puzzle to play on the spot, all in your browser. Store-bought puzzles have a fixed picture, but here you can use your own photos — family, pets, scenery from a trip — so the joy of a familiar image coming together at the end feels different. Piece count runs from 2×2 to 12×12: fewer suits young children, more gives adults a real challenge. Solving a puzzle is practice in spatial reasoning and observation — inferring where a piece belongs from its shape and the fragment of picture on it. Controls use a pointer-based approach that works the same with a finger or a mouse (not the browser's native drag), so it plays comfortably on phones and tablets. Your progress is saved to localStorage, so you can resume assembling after a reload.

How to play

1. Tap "Select photo" and choose one of your own photos. Landscapes, people, and pets with rich detail make for the most rewarding puzzles.
2. Choose a difficulty (the number of pieces). Start with 3x3 to 4x4 if you are new, or take on 8x8 and above for a real challenge.
3. Your chosen photo is sliced into the number of tiles you set, and the pieces are shuffled into the tray.
4. Grab a piece and drag it to its correct spot on the board. Use your finger on a phone or your mouse on a computer.
5. When a piece lines up it snaps into the board. Filling in the corners and edges first makes the whole picture easier to read.
6. If you get stuck, hover over a piece to see an enlarged preview and tell similar-looking tiles apart.
7. Place every piece to complete the puzzle. Watch your time and move count to aim for a faster solve.
8. To play again with a new photo or difficulty, just pick another photo or change the number of pieces for a fresh puzzle.
