What is Cutopix?
Cutopix removes the background from your photos with a single click and exports them as transparent PNGs. It can fit the cutout into ready-made templates for online stores (square), social media, secondhand marketplaces, or any custom size, so you can quickly clean up product shots and profile pictures. Background removal is powered by RMBG-1.4 running in your browser via transformers.js (WebAssembly), detecting the subject's outline at the pixel level.
How to use
- Pick the photo whose background you want to remove, or drag and drop it onto the upload area.
- On first use the AI model (RMBG-1.4) loads from a CDN. After that it starts instantly from your browser cache.
- The AI automatically detects the background and shows a transparent preview with only the subject kept.
- Choose an export template that matches your purpose (square for e-commerce, social media, marketplace, or a custom size).
- Check the subject's position and margins inside the template and adjust as needed.
- Once the result looks right, export it as a transparent PNG (or at your chosen size).
- Upload the saved image directly to your online store, social media, or marketplace app.
Great for
E-commerce product shots
Erase a cluttered background to create clean white square product images and keep your whole shop's look consistent.
Marketplace listings
Cut out items for sale and hide a messy room behind them to produce neat, professional-looking listing photos.
Social media avatars
Cut out a person or pet and drop them onto a background of your choice to build a profile picture or icon.
Presentation slides
Remove the background from people or product photos so they sit cleanly as transparent assets within your diagrams.
Logos and assets
Cut out a hand-drawn illustration or a photographed object and reuse it as a transparent PNG asset in your designs.
Thumbnail creation
Extract just the subject for blog or YouTube thumbnails and layer text and decorations on top while editing.
Privacy
The image you choose is processed inside your browser with WebAssembly and is never uploaded to a server. Only on first use does the background-removal AI model get fetched from a CDN (static file delivery); that is a model download, not your image being sent anywhere. The cut-out result also stays only on your device.
FAQ
- Q. Is my image uploaded anywhere?
- A. No. Background removal runs inside your browser with WebAssembly. The image you pick is never sent to a server, and the result stays on your device.
- Q. Why does the first run take a while to load?
- A. The background-removal AI model is fetched from a CDN on first use. Once downloaded it is cached in your browser, so subsequent runs start quickly.
- Q. What is the output format?
- A. It exports a PNG with a transparent background. The transparent areas let you layer the subject onto another background or edit it in other tools.
- Q. Which templates can I export to?
- A. You can output to ready-made templates: a square for e-commerce, a social-media size, a marketplace size, or any custom dimensions you specify.
- Q. Does it cleanly cut out hair and fine details?
- A. RMBG-1.4 detects outlines with high accuracy, but low contrast between subject and background or wispy hair tips can sometimes cause errors.
- Q. Does it work with multiple people or objects?
- A. It cuts out everything in the foreground together as the subject. It is not meant for precisely isolating only one object while keeping others.
- Q. Is there a fee?
- A. It is free to use. No account is required, and you can run background removal and template exports without a usage limit.
- Q. Can I use it on a phone?
- A. It works in modern smartphone and tablet browsers. However, very large images can be slow to process on devices with limited memory.
