What is Pdfopix?

Pdfopix is a free tool for editing PDFs page by page. You can reorder pages by dragging, rotate them 90 degrees, delete unwanted pages, redact by boxing and filling in regions, and split or merge files, all in the browser. For export, choose from three formats: a lightweight vector PDF, a redaction-grade raster PDF, or PNG (single file or ZIP), so you can save in the form that best fits your purpose.

How to use

  1. Select a PDF or drag and drop it in. You can also load several files to merge them.
  2. Drag the thumbnails to rearrange page order. The order you set is reflected directly in the export.
  3. Use the rotate button to turn any misoriented page 90 degrees at a time until it faces the right way.
  4. Remove unneeded pages with the delete button so only the pages you want remain.
  5. On pages with information to hide, draw a rectangle over the area and apply a fill (redaction).
  6. Split a single PDF or combine multiple PDFs into one to get the structure you need.
  7. Choose the export format: lightweight vector PDF, redaction-grade raster PDF, or PNG (single or ZIP).
  8. Press export and the edited file downloads to your device.

Great for

  • Tidying documents before submission

Fix the order of scanned pages, delete unneeded ones, and align orientation before combining everything into one file to submit.

  • Redacting personal information

Box and fill over names, addresses, or account numbers on contracts and forms so you can share them safely.

  • Distributing parts of a document

Extract just the chapters you need from a large PDF and hand out different sections to different people.

  • Merging multiple PDFs

Combine separately created quotes, invoices, and attachments into a single PDF to send together.

  • Fixing scan orientation

Rotate pages that came in sideways or upside down by 90 degrees at a time to make them readable.

  • Exporting as images

Turn PDF pages into PNGs to embed into slides or web pages; multiple pages can be downloaded together as a ZIP.

Privacy

Pdfopix runs entirely in your browser. The PDF you load is never sent to a server, and reordering, rotating, deleting, redacting, splitting, merging, and exporting all happen on your own device. It makes no external network requests whatsoever, so your file never leaves your device over the network.

FAQ

Q. Is my PDF uploaded?
A. No. The PDF is never sent to a server; all processing happens in the browser. There is no external communication at all.
Q. How do I rearrange page order?
A. Just drag a thumbnail to the position you want. The order you set is reflected directly in the exported PDF.
Q. Does redaction fully remove the information?
A. Choose the export format based on your needs. A vector PDF is lightweight, but if you must be sure the underlying content is gone, export as a redaction-grade raster PDF, which rasterizes the page so hidden areas are far harder to recover.
Q. Can I merge multiple PDFs into one?
A. Yes. You can load several files and combine them. Conversely, you can also split a single PDF into the pages you need.
Q. Can I undo a page rotation?
A. Rotation is applied 90 degrees at a time, and you can press it as many times as needed to adjust orientation. You can freely redo it before exporting.
Q. Which export format should I choose?
A. Pick the lightweight vector PDF to keep the file small, the redaction-grade raster PDF to bake in redactions reliably, or PNG to use pages as images. Multi-page PNGs can be downloaded together as a ZIP.
Q. Can I export just a single page as PNG?
A. Yes. PNG supports single-file export. If you want to image multiple pages at once, you can download them together as a ZIP.
Q. Can it handle password-protected PDFs?
A. Encrypted PDFs may fail to open when loaded in the browser. Please remove the password beforehand and load the unprotected PDF.
